silver, stainless steel, lost-wax casting
 the idea of flower, language, and the florist, I created a series where fingerprints are hidden from the literal projection of a flower. The texture created intentionally camouflages the fingerprint, which stands for the florist, interpreting that as myself manipulating these minute details of the flowers into meaning.
RING

The ring, engulfs the hand, yet blooms in a way that symbolises growth. Consumed by love, three flowers in the book that represent this sentiment. The ring by itself resembles a flower crown, the most familiar being a daisy crown, suggesting eternal love and innocence. The fingerprint hidden here is yet to be seen, under where the finger sits, but still visible from the burnished surface. Emerging but still hidden.
BROOCH
The bouquet of flowers, a brooch a sentiment where it somewhat advocates. "I fear but I hope." The stems, clear of thorns and leaves. the way that it is worn on the body, depends on the individual. There is no correct way. There are no fingerprints in this piece, but evident forms of hand molding especially within the stems of the petals. A trio, paired with precision and care. Each placed at a certain plane to be composed as a whole. 
PIN & CHAIN

A pin. transient love, transient impression, withering. The pin flows downward, chained to fall or to be picked up. There are two ways of wearing it, one to leave down as shown in the image and the other to flow to the side. The final piece, signifies the overall time passing. The fingerprint is casted very evidently in the piece, as a single petal, multiple times even on the flower itself. As well as the surface finishing, a transient impression. The fine silver finish is temporary, not ever permanent and will start to oxidise after some time. Paints the lifetime of a flower, but translated into metal, there is a different language of preservation. Not immortality but an extension of something. That in itself allows me to appreciate how silver reacts after time.
